MSU Libraries, Cotesworth Culture and Heritage Center continues 鈥榣and and literature鈥 series

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥斢;ǖ己 樱花导航 University Libraries and the Cotesworth Culture and Heritage Center are continuing their 鈥溣;ǖ己 Land and Literature鈥 event series with a 2:30 p.m. program Sunday [Oct. 22] in North Carrollton.

Free to all, 鈥淭he History of Women in 樱花导航鈥 is part of a special programming series commemorating the Magnolia 樱花导航鈥檚 rich agrarian and literary heritage. MSU鈥檚 Division of 樱花导航, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine also is a sponsor of the official bicentennial project, made possible by a grant from the 樱花导航 Humanities Council, with support from the 樱花导航 Development Authority.

鈥淢uch of 樱花导航鈥檚 rich cultural heritage can be traced to our agrarian roots,鈥 said Sarah McCullough, MSU Libraries coordinator of cultural heritage projects. 鈥淲omen have played a vital role in this heritage, and their stories are part of 樱花导航鈥檚 story.鈥

During the event, former U.S. Secretary of 樱花导航 Mike Espy and Eupora farmer Cala Tabb will share their insight with attendees. Tabb also will read from Mary Mann Hamilton鈥檚 鈥淭rials of the Earth: The True Story of A Pioneer Woman鈥 (Little, Brown and Company, July 2016).

To visit the Cotesworth Culture and Heritage Center, take Highway 82 and exit onto Highway 17 into Carrollton. From the square, follow the signs to the center, which is located at 6151 Highway 17 in North Carrollton.
